Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Birch Hill Primary School. It is a privilege to be the Headteacher, leading an enthusiastic and committed team.

We are a two form entry community school serving the Birch Hill and Hanworth districts of Bracknell Forest.   In addition to the main school, we offer a nursery and a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) catering for children with ASD and MLD.  We can accommodate 420 children, plus 27 spaces in our nursery, which offers flexible 30 hours a week. The school is organised into two Key Stages - EYFS/ KS1 and KS2. The school was built in 1975 and offers spacious, single storey accommodation.

Our Motto is: Learn, Believe, Achieve Together. We set high standards of work and achieve this through providing a curriculum that also develops children's belief that they can achieve their highest aspiration, while working closely with parents and the whole community.

With that in mind we greatly value our partnership with parents. We believe that working together is the best way to ensure your child develops a solid foundation and a love for learning.

We have 4 Golden Rules - Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Ready to Learn and Be Honest.  Each class will have their own school Golden Rules Charter to encourage and develop the children’s sense of respect and responsibility.

We hold school tours throughout the year and encourage you to come along and have a look around.

I look forward to meeting you.
