Day 4 - Thursday 24th September

Today, the whole group had a go at kayaking and canoeing. We had an excellent time out on the water, getting wet, paddling in circles and enjoying plenty of laughs!
The children particularly enjoyed the opportunity to get their teachers wet – much to the our delight! 😄
Tomorrow, we look forward to completing our round robin of activities before heading home to share all our news and adventures with you.
Get those washing machines at the ready! 🧺💦

Day 3 - Wednesday 23rd September

Another fantastic day on residential! Today we continued our round robin of activities, taking on the obstacle course, zip wire, team games and blind trail. We’ve continued to conquer our fears, challenge ourselves and, in many cases, surprise ourselves with what we can achieve! 💪😊
We also had a welcome visit from Mr Dillon, who came along to see how we were getting on and hear all about our adventures.
Tonight, it’s time to get dressed up and enjoy our disco! 🪩🎶 We’re already looking forward to tomorrow, when we’ll be taking on the water with kayaking! 🚣‍♀️🌊

Day 2 - Tuesday 22nd September

Following a delicious cooked breakfast, we headed out for a hill walk this morning. It was certainly challenging, but the beautiful scenery made it all worthwhile, and we were all very proud of ourselves when we reached the end!
After lunch, our groups took part in a fantastic range of activities, including abseiling, grass sledging, orienteering, rifle range and low ropes. There has been lots of teamwork, laughter and plenty of challenges overcome!
This evening, we’re looking forward to fencing and climbing before hopefully heading to bed for a well-earned, good night’s sleep! 💤

 

Day 1 - Monday 21st September

We arrived in high spirits and everyone has settled in brilliantly! After our orientation, we got stuck into our first activities, including archery, bivouac making and the zip wire.

After a well-earned dinner, we headed out into the countryside for a night walk, which was a fantastic way to finish our first day.

Everyone has had a brilliant start to the residential, and we’re looking forward to another action-packed day tomorrow!
