Year 6 Residential Trip

Year 6 had a great time at Manor Adventure in Shropshire

Our Year 6 children recently enjoyed an unforgettable residential visit to Manor Adventure, Shropshire, where they experienced a week packed full of exciting challenges, outdoor learning and plenty of fun.

Throughout the week, the children took part in a wide range of adventurous activities including zip wire, abseiling, climbing, archery, fencing, hill walking, orienteering, low ropes, rafting, canoeing and team-building challenges. These activities encouraged the children to develop their confidence, communication and problem-solving skills whilst working collaboratively with their peers. Many pupils challenged themselves to try something completely new and discovered strengths they did not know they had.

We were incredibly fortunate with the weather, which was sunny throughout the visit and made the experience even more enjoyable. The children made the most of every moment outdoors, enjoying the beautiful Shropshire countryside while taking part in the activities.

The food was delicious and plentiful, providing plenty of fuel for the busy days ahead. Meal times were a great opportunity for everyone to come together, reflect on their achievements and prepare for the next challenge.

Most importantly, the children truly lived out our school motto of Learn, Believe, Achieve Together. They showed a willingness to learn new skills, believed in themselves when faced with challenges and achieved far more than they initially thought possible. Their resilience was particularly impressive, with many children overcoming fears, persevering when activities became difficult and pushing themselves beyond what they thought they could achieve. Whether scaling a climbing wall, tackling the zip wire or completing a demanding team challenge, they demonstrated determination and a positive attitude throughout.

We were exceptionally proud of the way the children conducted themselves during the week. They represented the school brilliantly, showing respect, kindness and maturity at all times. The residential provided a wonderful opportunity to develop confidence, independence and friendships, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to all the staff who helped make the trip such a success. Well done, Year 6. You were amazing and truly demonstrated what it means to Learn, Believe, Achieve Together. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
