Leadership Update - Director of Primary Hub
We are pleased to share that Mr Ferris, Headteacher of Great Hollands Primary School, has been appointed as Director of the Primary Hub within Maiden Erlegh Trust.
This new role is part of a wider leadership model already in place for Secondary, Special Education and Alternative Provision across Maiden Erlegh Trust. Extending this to a Primary Hub means our primary schools can work more closely together, ensuring that every pupil benefits from consistent standards, shared expertise and the best possible support.
Mr Ferris will continue as Headteacher at Great Hollands alongside this new role, while also supporting improvement across other primary schools within MET.
Mr Ferris said:
“I am committed to fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the hub so that best practice is consistently shared and every child benefits from a high-quality education. For me, this means ensuring that all pupils, regardless of background, experience an ambitious curriculum, excellent teaching, and the right support to thrive personally as well as academically.”
Andy Johnson, Director of Education at MET, added:
“This strategic role will play a pivotal part in strengthening collaboration across our primary schools. Richard brings a wealth of experience, and we look forward to his work with Headteachers to ensure that all pupils benefit from consistently high standards of teaching, care and support, enabling them to thrive and achieve their full potential.”
